Dear Dad,
How the heck are you? We haven’t talked in a while, so I thought I’d drop you a note to let you know what I’ve been up to.
Well, the restaurant is finally on the web!!! We’ve worked long and hard to make sure our customers have everything they need on our website, and I think we’ve done a great job.
Want to check out any of our menus for breakfast, lunch or dinner? Check out the website. Want to find out how to hold your next party at Tony P’s? Check out the website. Want to find out about our Dockside Rewards program? Check out the website. It’s all there.
I know Mom hasn’t quite figured out how to surf the web and you can only find the sports sites, so have little Timmy from next door come over and show you how to get to www.tonyps.com you won’t be disappointed!
One of the things you’ll see on the website is our new promotion reserved especially for our Dockside Rewards members. We’re now offering double rewards points at breakfast, as long as you eat on our patio or dining room. So, before those NBA playoff games or before you and mom head off to church, make sure you stop by and have a great breakfast. I’ll tell you, there’s nothing like sipping a Bloody Mary on the patio, looking out at the marina and enjoying a great, relaxing breakfast!
In case you forgot, we’re open at 9 a.m. for breakfast every Saturday and Sunday!
And speaking of things to do on the weekend, make sure you bring in all the guys form the lodge to catch the games in the Tavern. Baseball, basketball, hockey ... we’ve got them all on our big screens. No matter what spot is on TV, the Tavern is always a party.
That reminds me of the last party we had here.
We invited a couple thousand of our closest friends got one of the hottest bands in town and celebrated Quatro de Mayo with our friends Jaime and Danny from 98.7FM.
Sorry you couldn’t make it Dad, but it’s just as well. We were packed and I probably couldn’t have spent a lot of time introducing you around.

Anyway, the party was awesome and the band, Los Lonely Boys, was incredible. I know everyone had a great time!
After I’m done with this letter, I have to send a thank you note to Jaime and Danny and everyone at the radio station for making this year’s party the best ever! While I’m still on the subject of parties, do you remember our wedding? I ask because I remember seeing you and Mrs. Kravitz dancing the Bunny Hop at the reception, and I’m not sure you remember too much after my best man said, “The bar is now open!”
Anyway, Msgr. Lloyd Torgerson, the priest who married us, stopped by the other day. He brought the staff from his office to Tony P’s to celebrate Administrative Professionals Day. He and the gang had a great time. They said Tony P’s was a great place to celebrate a birthday, promotion or any other office celebration.
The Fourth of July is coming up soon, so I expect that we’ll be as packed as always. Tony P’s is a great place to watch all the fireworks and the boats. If you and the guys want to come down again this year, I’d suggest you call us early to reserve your spot on the patio.
Before the fireworks start that night, make sure you and Mom grab a spot on the curb for the Fourth of July Parade in Westchester. The parade will begin at noon at Westchester Park and will make its way down Loyola Boulevard to the LMU campus. Since I won’t be Honorary Mayor after June 30, I guess I’ll only be in the parade three times this year!!! In any event, it’s a great time for everyone.
Oh, by the way, I spoke to Mom about this already, and we decided that we’re taking you out for dinner on Father’s Day. Tony P’s will be serving its regular menu full of your favorite steaks, so start thinking about the cut you want, and, of course, I’ll foot the bill!
I wanted to tell you about a little fundraiser we had here for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. They put us all in “jail” and we had to call our friends to raise money for bail. Together, we raised $17,000 ... not bad for a bunch of people whose friends are never willing to pick up the tab at dinner, huh!?
Anyway, I’ll talk to you soon.
Love, Tony |
